T2 RULES
How is it working?
The first and most important thing about the T2 is that the matches are time-based. The players must win as many games as they can within a 24-minute time limit. the second most important part is that it is team and individual competition
Game play rules
- 24 minute limit to complete the match - as many games as possible (except Kill Zone)
- There is no deuce. The first player to reach 11 wins (you win at 11 – 10).
- If a game has started within the last 2 minutes of the match the first player to reach 5 points wins - Kill Zone game ( no time limit in Kill Zone )
- If a game has started before the last 2 minutes and is still in progress when the timer stops, the player with the most points wins.
- Each game won is added to the team’s total
- Only one time out per match is allowed
League rules
As we are just starting we will use some very simple rules and then evolve as we go depending on the level of participation:
- We will create teams basing on the players ratings to equal total team rating as much as possible
- Teams and the matches played will be arranged in advance on the day of the event
- We must have an even number of participants for the event
- We will use USATT rating, if it doesn't exist then league rating from your club, or estimated rating. Player who need estimation should come earlier to allow for estimation to be done.
- Players will be seeded within the team according to their rating.
